Right-click on Mac

apple mouse

Apple’s mouse doesn’t seem to have a right mouse button. Nothing is less true.

You can just use the right mouse button and its functions on a Mac. Set the right mouse button feature on a Mac with macOS 10.12 Sierra or later. Or the option described below Secondary click appears depends on the type of mouse connected.

  • Click on the Apple logo Apple logo in the top menu bar.
  • click on System Preferences > Mouse.
  • Make sure the ‘Point and Click’ tab is open.
  • Put a tick in front of Secondary click.
  • Make sure ‘Click on right side’ is selected below that. If not, click Click on left side > Click on right side.
  • Click the screen away. The setting is saved automatically.

In the screen over the mouse you can of course also set other things. Such as the speed at which the mouse pointer moves across the screen.
