Safari gets a modest update with iOS 13, but there are some useful functions. These are the five best innovations.
Safari in iOS 13: The 5 Best Features
Safari is probably one of the most used apps on your iPhone and iPad. Apple’s browser is updated with every software update, and iOS 13 is no exception.
1. New home page
Once you install iOS 13 and launch the browser, you will notice that the homepage has changed. Below your favorites are pages that you visit often. Again below that, Siri shows potentially interesting websites based on your browsing history, and links received via Messages, for example.
2. Quickly arrange website settings
From now on you will find some useful buttons at the top left to make visiting websites more enjoyable. Here you can adjust the font size, request the desktop version of a page and arrange specific settings per website. For example, you can set the Reader view to open automatically when you visit your favorite blog.

3. Save pages
Another handy feature is the option to save all open pages for a later time. To do this, long-press the bookmark button at the bottom right and choose ‘Add bookmarks for X tabs’. If you want to open them again later, simply hold down the folder for a long time and the option will appear.

4. iPad is increasingly becoming a laptop replacement
From now on you can use the desktop version of Safari on the iPad that you know from the Mac. That way you can still easily visit complex, unclear websites. The 24 added shortcuts also provide a much smoother browsing experience. Mac users, by the way, are familiar with these shortcuts, as many are the same.

5. Other iOS 13 improvements
Another useful addition is Sign in with Apple, an alternative to logging in to websites via Facebook and Google. The Cupertino company has a better record of privacy and only uses your username and email address. You can also download files in Safari from now on.
