Samsung announces the Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G with a new processor, big battery life, fast 5G connection and up to four generations of Android OS upgrades and up to five years of security updates.

Stylish and durable design
The new Galaxy A series has a stylish, durable design and a slim bezel. The Ambient Edge design ensures that the camera blends seamlessly into the smartphone body. The Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G are equipped with tough Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and IP67 water and dust resistance. With Galaxy for the Planet, Samsung is committed to our planet in various ways with concrete environmental actions. For durability, the Galaxy A series no longer has a charger plug in the box to make it smaller. The packaging itself is made from sustainably produced paper. The side buttons and SIM card holders of the devices use recycled post-consumer materials (PCM)
Screen and battery life
The Galaxy A53 5G’s large 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz provides a clear picture and makes scrolling much easier, because it shows you a continuous image while scrolling. The Galaxy A33 5G has a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The new Galaxy A series is equipped with a battery life of more than a day and 25W Super Fast Charging , so you can watch, stream and browse even longer.
Cameras
The Galaxy A53 5G’s quad camera system has a 64MP OIS camera with VDIS technology that captures sharp and stable images. With the 32MP front camera, you’ll have the beautiful selfies and high-quality video calls at your fingertips, according to Samsung. Thanks to the new 5nm processor, the innovative AI-powered camera of the Galaxy A series ensures that every image looks good, even in low light. The enhanced night mode automatically captures up to 12 images at a time. So your night shots also look clear, with less noise. And do you want to shoot videos in a low-light environment? The frame rate of the Galaxy A series adjusts automatically.
Enhanced Portrait mode captures depth and subject contours more accurately thanks to its dual cameras and powerful AI. With the Fun mode you can easily add playful filters and effects to your recordings. With Photo Remaster you can breathe new life into your old low-quality photos. The Object Eraser removes annoying photobombs in the background.

Availability and suggested retail prices
The Galaxy A53 5G will be available in Awesome Black, Awesome Blue and Awesome Peach colors from April 1 for suggested retail prices of €449 (6+128 GB) or €509 (8+256 GB). The Galaxy A33 5G will be available in Awesome Black, Awesome Blue and Awesome Peach from April 22 for a suggested retail price of €369 (6+128 GB). If you place a (pre-)order for the Galaxy A53 5G, you will receive Galaxy Buds Live as a gift.
The new colors Awesome Black, Awesome Blue, Awesome Peach and an Onyx color of the Galaxy Buds2 and Buds Live will launch in April, complementing the stylish design of the Galaxy A series.
