Samsung Galaxy with 4 years of Android updates and 5 years of security updates

Samsung sets a new standard in software support with 4 years of Android updates and 5 years of security updates. Unfortunately, this does not apply to all Galaxy devices, but it is a wonderful initiative that will also make many users of (new) Galaxy devices happy. The upgrades are available on the most recent smartphones in the Galaxy S-series, such as the Galaxy S22 and S22+ and also the S22 Ultra, as well as the Z-series and A-series and the latest tablets. Samsung plans to expand this to more Galaxy devices. Furthermore, Samsung has now also been offering upgrades for One UI Watch and Wear OS Powered by Samsung for up to four years.
In addition to the One UI upgrades, Samsung provides up to five years of security updates to protect the most recent Galaxy devices. Once linked to Samsung’s security platform Samsung Knox, the devices are optimally protected against potential threats. If you have Samsung Galaxy Enterprise Edition, you also receive a one-year license that gives you access to Samsung Knox Suite solutions. That way you can easily deploy and manage your devices and security updates via a dashboard.

The following Galaxy devices are eligible for four generations of One UI and five years of security updates*:
• Galaxy S Series: Galaxy S22, S22+, S22 Ultra, as well as Galaxy S21, S21+, S21 Ultra, S21 FE, and future S-series devices
• Galaxy Z Series: Galaxy Z Fold3, Galaxy Z Flip3, and future Z Series devices
• Galaxy A Series: Selected devices in the upcoming A Series
• Galaxy Tablets: Galaxy Tab S8, S8+, S8 Ultra and future models in the Tab S series

These Galaxy devices have up to four years of One UI Watch and Wear OS Powered by Samsung*:
• Galaxy Watch: Galaxy Watch4, Galaxy Watch4 Classic and future Galaxy Watches

The Samsung Galaxy devices that do not have the correct hardware specifications to qualify for four generations of One UI upgrades will still have support for up to three generations of One UI upgrades.
