This is how you set Screen distance

When you have installed iOS 17, Screen Spacing is not automatically enabled on your iPhone. You have to go to the settings of the device yourself. How to turn on screen distance:

  1. Open ‘Settings’ on your iPhone;

  2. Go to ‘Screen Time’;

  3. Choose ‘Screen distance’;

  4. Then turn on the switch behind ‘Screen distance’.

With Screen Distance in iOS 17, you will then receive a notification every time you hold the iPhone too close. This function only works with iPhones that have Face ID, because the same sensor is used to determine the distance between your face and the iPhone. So that means Screen Gap is coming to the iPhone XR and older, with the exception of the iPhone SE (2022).
