Since 2022, Apple has had the Self Service repair program to fix your own iPhone. Now the function is finally available in the Netherlands.

Apple’s Self Service Repair program not only helps you figure out what’s wrong with your iPhone or other Apple device. You can also order the parts and any tools you need from Apple.
The function is not new in Europe. In 2022, the Self Service repair program already came this way. Only then, the Netherlands was still missing from the list of countries where the function can be used. In addition to the Netherlands, a total of 33 countries are now on the list where the function is available. The next country will be Canada, according to Apple.

Of course it sounds great that you can repair your Apple devices yourself, but there are a few snags. Of course, you must be reasonably skilled to carry out the repair yourself. You also cannot simply carry out every repair yourself. Not all problems are supported.
In addition, you cannot order every part with Apple’s Self Service. For example, the battery, camera and screen are available, but some other parts are not. You also need the necessary tools to carry out the repair. So you also have to purchase it (or rent it from Apple).
