Got nice photos that you want to share with someone? This is done very quickly via e-mail.
Beautiful pictures
Share fun photos with others easily. Emailing photos is especially useful if it’s a single photo or a few small images. Digital photos are often ‘large’ files. Most providers have a maximum message size. It is therefore only possible to email many photos to someone at once when you do this via Google Drive.
Send photo (PC)
Emailing a photo via the PC works like this:
- Go to www.gmail.com and log in.
- The mail environment opens. Click on the top left draw up.
- An empty mail message opens. Compose the e-mail as usual: write the e-mail, give it a subject and enter the e-mail address of the recipient.
- Click the paperclip icon at the bottom of the email to add a photo.
- Browse to the folder containing the photo, select the photo and click To open.
- The photo will be added to the email. The name of the photo is at the bottom of the email.
- click on Send to send the message.
The email with photo has been sent. Share other files in this way, such as Word documents.
Send photo (app)
Share photos via Gmail on your smartphone or tablet like this:

- Tap at the bottom right draw up.
- Create a message as usual. Think of the e-mail address of the recipient, the subject of the e-mail and a message.
- Tap the paperclip icon at the top.
- Optionally tap Attach file.
- Go to the folder containing the photo and tap the photo.
- Tap the paper airplane icon to send the mail.
