We had to wait seventeen versions for it, but since iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 it is finally possible to set multiple timers on your iPhone or iPad. This was already possible on an Apple Watch and HomePod, but not yet for iOS and iPadOS.
This means that you can use multiple countdown timers simultaneously, which can be useful while cooking, for example. We explain how you can do this via the Clock app for iPhone or iPad and of course also via Siri.
Set multiple timers
- Open the Clock app for iPhone or iPad
- Navigate to the ‘Timers’ tab
- Start a timer

Once one is active, you can tap the plus button at the top of the screen to start a new one and set up more. Repeat this if you want to set more countdown clocks.
Start timers with Siri
In addition to manually setting multiple timers, this is of course also possible with the Apple voice assistant. Use the voice command for this Hey Siri, set a timer for that [aantal minuten/uren]. Once you’ve set it, you can ask Siri again to set a new timer. Use if necessary Hey Siri, set a timer for that [aantal] with the name [naam]to associate a name with the timer.
