An application that many Apple Watch owners may use is the Timer application. Ideal for keeping track of time during various activities such as cooking or running a program, etc.
If you really want to keep track of time quickly, you can use Siri. Activate the voice assistant and say Set a timer [aantal] minutes. You can also use the Timer app to set a timer, and from watchOS 11 you can even save times as favorites.
Set timers on Apple Watch
- Open the Timer application
- Tap the plus button
- Choose a desired time
- Use the plus button to choose a custom time
- Now set your hour and minutes

Once the Timer is set, you can tap ‘Start’ to activate the timer and the countdown will begin. From watchOS 11 onwards, the progress of the active timers is shown in the smart stack using a live activity.
Add multiple timers
You can easily set multiple timers on an Apple Watch. This can be done by adding a new timer using the steps above. Do you want to immediately set an extra timer? Then return to the overview by tapping the smaller than < icon and start a new timer.

Set timers with Siri
Of course, there is a more convenient option to start a timer using Siri, activate Siri by pressing and holding the digital crown for a few moments and speak the command: Set a timer [tijd] On. Immediately the timer will be activated on your Apple Watch.
watchOS repeat timer
Once the timer ends, your Apple Watch will vibrate and/or make a sound, then tap Close to end the timer or choose Repeat to run it again for the same amount of time. During the countdown you also have the option to pause or cancel the timer.
Set timers
From watchOS 11 it is possible to set timers in the app of the same name. Do you have a specific time as your favorite? Then you can easily pin them so that you can quickly consult them.
- Open the Timer app
- Tap the plus button
- Choose ‘Change’

You can then pin previously chosen timers by tapping the pin symbol. Immediately the timer will be pinned to the top of the page and you can quickly refer to them in the future.
