Share photos from your iPhone? This is how you make a photo album quickly and easily

After a nice party, you naturally want to share your photos with your friends and family as soon as possible. Are you going to show them on Facebook? Or maybe you put them on Dropbox? New! Sharing a photo album on your iPhone can be much easier.

Share photo album with your friends or family

To share your photos most easily, it’s smart to first put them in their own album on your iPhone. You can then easily share the photo album via, for example, the Messages app, WhatsApp or Telegram. Of course you can decide yourself with which you share the photos, but often the Messages app is the most useful.

Anyone with a smartphone can receive text messages or iMessage messages. They don’t have to install a special app first. Adding the photos to an album is done in no time. The fastest way to do this is as follows.

To put photos in an album:

  1. Open the Photos app;
  2. Tap “Albums” at the bottom;
  3. Tap ‘Recent’ to open the most recently taken photos;
  4. Tap ‘Select’ and choose the photos you want to put in an album;
  5. At the bottom left, tap the ‘Share’ icon;
  6. Choose ‘Add to album’;
  7. Tap New Album and give your album a name.

Share your photo album with your friends or family

When you have put the photos in an album, you only have to share the album with your acquaintances. You do this in the following way.

Share photo album on iPhone:

  1. Open the Photos app;

  2. Tap the album you want to share under ‘My albums’;

  3. Tap the three dots next to the ‘Select’ button;

  4. Go to ‘Share photos…’;

  5. Select the app you want to share the photos with, for example ‘Messages’;

  6. Tap the plus sign to choose the people you want to share photos with;

  7. Type a short message and tap the arrow to send the message.

When you only have a few photos in your album to share, they will be sent as single images. Are you making an album with a large mountain of snapshots? Then your iPhone will make it a link for iCloud. The person receiving your message will then have to open the link in a browser to view the photos.

Also good to know: the iCloud link can be used for 30 days. After that, the link is no longer valid and the photos can no longer be viewed. So you don’t have to worry that your photos will remain online.
