Mirror phone on Chromebook

Google is working behind the scenes on a new feature for Chromebooks. You will be able to display your phone’s apps on the screen of your Chromebook. For that, . has 9To5Google clues found in the code of Android 12. At the bottom of the Recent Apps menu you can see a ‘Push’ button and with that you should be able to mirror the screen to your Chromebook.

In Android 12, a feature has been discovered that has the package name ‘com.google.pixel.exo’. The Push Button in Recent Apps

Of course, it’s been possible to run Android apps in Chrome OS for some time, but by mirroring your phone’s screen on your Chromebook, you can pick up right where you left off in one go. Exclusive to Pixels?

At this time, the feature is not officially available and it has not yet been announced. The code also references Pixel phones, which would indicate that Push will be a Pixel-exclusive feature. Google may launch it along with the upcoming Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, but that’s not sure yet.

Google also previously launched Phone Hub, a feature that allows you to view notifications from your phone and adjust some important settings from your Chromebook. It’s also not the first time we’ve heard of the Push feature, as it was leaked back in June. What do you think of Push? Do you want to be able to open your phone on your Chromebook?
