Edox is one of the few family-owned Swiss watchmakers still in existence. A company with experience that goes back to 1884. It is therefore not surprising that sometimes very special watch designs emerge from the rich archive. Two exclusive Limited Editions have been released in the well-known Chronorally and SkyDiver series, which stand firmly in the present with respect for the past.
The exciting Edox Chronorally X-Treme Pilot
Presented by Monster Energy, the FIA ​​World Rallycross Championship is an exciting mixed-surface racing competition. Man and machine work together as one in a race against time, their rivals and the elements. This unconquerable spirit inspired Edox, as timing partner of the FIA, to develop the tough and sporty Chronorally X-treme Pilot.
The watch breathes the energy of rallycross in everything. 48mm in size, with prominent chrono pushers that allow operation of the split-time chronograph even with racing gloves. The hand-polished case is made of titanium, a light and scratch-resistant material, so that this sturdy watch weighs only 130 grams.
The green dial with yellow accents and the large date window is inspired by the dashboard of a rally car and matches the yellow stitched leather strap perfectly. The rear lid decorated with a car wheel adds an extra dimension.
Of course, the finish of the Chronorally is perfect: the hands are equipped with strong Superluminova for extra legibility in the dark. And, only 555 pieces of the Chronorally X-treme Pilot were made, which further emphasizes the exclusive character of the watch.
The mystery of the Edox SkyDiver Military
The history of the SkyDiver is shrouded in mystery. Rumor has it that the classic design from 1973 – found in the archives – was developed in the deepest secrecy for the elite troops of a secretive Swiss colonel. Whether this is true or not, it certainly is a beautiful story and it has given us a beautiful new watch.
The SkyDiver Military unites 135 years of watchmaking experience with military history. The 30 ATM waterproof automatic watch features a scratch-resistant ceramic diving bezel and a gray military-grade nylon strap.
The extra thick sapphire crystal and the Superluminova X1 on hands and indexes guarantee scratch resistance and legibility under the most extreme conditions, so that even the modern paratrooper can work with this watch with peace of mind. The parachute motif engraved back cover completes the design.
This special Military SkyDiver 80115 3N VD, limited to 555 pieces, comes in a special box with an extra stainless steel strap.
