Spotify has launched a new iOS app, which is available to everyone starting today. We list the innovations.
Updated Spotify app: these are the improvements
Today Spotify launches a completely revamped iOS app. Above all, the application looks simpler and is therefore a lot more user-friendly. The music service tries to improve the user experience of the app with this. These are the three improvements.
1. A simpler Shuffle Play button
Spotify has added a new green shuffle play button. Previously you had to press a second button for shuffle, but that is no longer necessary. With a simple push of a button you can now play music as well as switch on shuffle.
2. Action Buttons
All actions you perform are now sorted in a handy row in the middle of the screen. That way you have everything you need very quickly at hand. This includes, for example, liking a song, a download button and a play button. In addition, the download for offline listening (for premium users) has a new icon.
3. Playback of songs with album art
Unless you’re listening to a specific album, each song’s cover art will be listed. That way it should become more convenient to scroll through the list and find just that one song you are looking for. Are you listening to a playlist that also contains songs you’ve liked? Then you will see a heart appear next to the number.
