Spotify comes with an update for its app. With this update, users of the streaming service will soon have access to a new layout on the home screen that, among other things, splits music and podcasts for you.
New experience
Spotify reports in a blog post that they are currently rolling out an update that should provide a new ‘home experience’. In this new experience it should be easy to find your favorite music and/or podcasts. The Swedish company will ensure that these two are split. At the top left you will soon be given the option to select only music or pocasts. When selecting one, the other immediately disappears. If you select music, then you will only find music on the home screen. According to Spotify, this ensures that listeners can find the desired content more easily and that the experience will have to become a lot more personal. It is also possible to keep both options as usual.
Discover new things faster
Podcasts and music will soon be able to be split. Spotify hereby reports that, in addition to making it easier to find desired content, discovering new music and podcasts will also become easier. For example, on the podcast page you will soon be able to go directly to new episodes of your favorite shows, you will find more information about the podcast in question and personalized recommendations for other podcasts. Many of these functions are already there, of course, but soon you will find all this from one central place.
On the music page, for example, you get more accessible and faster access to new suggestions based on your taste. On this page you will soon also find all your albums, playlists, dailys and mixes in one storage. There should also be new functions that make it easier to play and share music directly. You can see more about it below gif.

Availability
Spotify indicates that you can expect the update this week, provided you have an Android smartphone. People with an iPhone have to wait a little longer for the update.
