Status updates in WhatsApp

WhatsApp also has status updates. (Some) of the contacts can see the text, photo or video of the status update twenty-four hours. After that, the image disappears automatically.

• Launch WhatsApp.
• Make sure you are not in a chat.
• Tap the tab Status.
• There are two options:
  • Tap a camera icon. Take a new photo or video or choose an existing photo.
  • Tap the pencil icon and type some fun text.
• Tap the send button (paper airplane icon).

The status update has been posted. View this by on My status to tap.

• Open WhatsApp.
• Make sure you are not in a chat.
• Tap on Status.
• When someone posts a status, it’s below the text “Recent Status Updates.” Tap the contact’s name to view the status.
