With tado’s new Cost Forecasting app function, unpleasant surprises from high heating costs should be a thing of the past if you have a smart Tado thermostat connected to your central heating boiler. For now only for all Auto-Assist users, later this feature will also be available for other tado users.
The German Tado offers various solutions for intelligent climate management for homes, such as smart thermostats and services. It now comes with the new Cost Forecasting app feature that is available to all Auto-Assist users who have a smart thermostat connected to their boiler. Cost Forecasting is part of Energy IQ and a solution that establishes a tangible link between heating behavior and actual energy costs. The temperature and Tado app settings are fed with data from the electricity or gas meter and linked to algorithms specially developed for this function. Tado users know how much the annual heating bill will be because Tado displays a cost forecast for the current month based on the data entered and collected.
In the future, Energy IQ will also make it possible to fine-tune temperatures and energy-saving functions, so that the level of heating costs corresponds to personal preferences and comfort. In the app, users can then activate and deactivate their desired functions and energy-saving functions such as Geofencing and immediately see the corresponding effect on heating costs.

The new function is now available to all Auto-Assist users who have connected a smart thermostat to their central heating boiler. In the coming months, the feature will be rolled out to other Tado users via an app update.
