If you come across something on the internet, have received a nice message from someone or if you want to capture something else, you can use screenshots. It is very easy to take a screenshot of your screen on an iPhone or iPad.
Everything that appears on the screen of your device is saved as an image in the Photos app. In addition, it is also possible to take a screenshot of an entire web page in Safari. You can then save the page completely as a PDF so that you can easily consult it afterwards. Useful for manuals, articles and apple tips.
Take screenshots on an iPhone or iPad
Before you get started, we will briefly explain how to take a screenshot: press the home button and on/off button at the same time. If you have an iPhone or iPad without a home button, you can do this by pressing the power button and volume up button at the same time.
Take a screenshot of a web page in Safari
- Open Safari
- Visit the website you want to save as a screenshot
- Take a screenshot
- A preview will appear at the bottom of the screen
- Tap the preview to edit the screenshot
Once you open the preview, the screenshot will be displayed in full screen. Tap the ‘Full-page’ tab at the top. Immediately the entire page will be displayed in the screenshot preview. Use the navigation line to view the entire page. Tap Done or the share button to save or share the page. A full-screen screenshot of a page is saved as a PDF in the Files app or as an image in Photos.
Solution: No images between the text
Are you taking a full-page screenshot of a web page, but the images are missing between the text? Then it is best to reopen the page and scroll all the way down. The website then uses ‘Lazy loading’ and this ensures that images are only loaded when they are viewed. Once you reach the end of the page you can take the screenshot and follow the steps above to save it as a PDF.
