The new week is just around the corner, but before that, let’s take a look back at the last seven days. The editors of iPhoned has rounded up the best iOS apps, games and updates from last week.
Last week’s best iOS apps
The Apple App Store is working overtime every week. New apps, updates to existing applications and games appear all the time. You probably don’t notice this much, because most of the programs are not worth downloading. iPhoned therefore separate the wheat from the chaff every Sunday. Here are the best iOS apps, updates, and games from last week.
1. Mario Kart Tour
Mario Kart Tour is celebrating its first anniversary and has had a major update. The iOS app of the well-known racing game not only has special tournaments that you can play, an update also adds new features. There is now Auto Mode, which basically puts your kart on autopilot. This allows you to place your character in a certain formation on the road, or watch as your character continues on the road.
Coins and other points you collect are just added to your total, but you won’t level up when you use the mode. Also, the challenges you can achieve do not count when using the Auto Mode. The mode is useful if, for example, you want to take some screenshots or adjust the camera. You also get a boost as you level up and you can contact your friends by sending them Greeting Coins.
2. Knight Fright
Knight Fright is a retro fighting game that is free to download. The game takes place in a kingdom recently invaded by evil creatures. Think of ghosts and goblins who want to make the world a worse place. It’s up to you to do battle with them and defeat all opponents to save the kingdom.
In addition to defeating your opponents, it is also your job to restore the world to its former glory. Jump on each square to bring it back to life. Beware: one wrong step and you have to start all over again.
3. Suit up
Solitaire fans take note: with suit up you play a new, addictive variant. The goal is to continue as long as possible by matching colors as well as numbers and letters. The longer you continue, the more upgrades you unlock.
Of course, with upgrades you also earn more points, which puts you higher on the leaderboard. If you play every day, you also get a daily bonus. You can play in different levels, so the game is fun for both beginners and experts.
