The new week is just around the corner, but before that, let’s take a look back at the last seven days. The editors of iPhoned has rounded up the best iOS apps, games and updates from last week.
Last week’s 5 best iOS apps
The App Store is working overtime every week. New apps, updates for existing programs and games are added all the time. You probably don’t notice this much, because most of it is not worth downloading. iPhoned therefore separate the wheat from the chaff every Sunday. Here are this week’s best iOS apps, updates, and games.
1. Quibia
Quibi is a new streaming service that primarily targets millennials and anyone with a short attention span. It only has series with episodes that last no longer than ten minutes and you can only watch it on your smartphone. Ideal for on the road or when you are waiting for the train.
It doesn’t matter if you’re looking horizontally or vertically, because the shows are always shown full screen. The app also has other features. Press the screen and swipe up and the show will be muted. In addition, everything can be downloaded so that you can watch offline.

2. Hearthstone
The online card game Hearthstone from the makers of World of Warcraft has had a major expansion this week. The app has now added a new adventure: Ashes of Outland. Travel to Outland to fight the Demon Hunters to save the Rusted Legion.
The update also adds 135 new maps. The popular card game can be played online with friends or with one of millions of other players from around the world. The more you play, the stronger your card deck becomes. By combining the best cards, you defeat every enemy.
3. ING
The well-known bank with the orange lion has made a major update to the app this week. From now on you can switch to dark mode, provided you have an iPhone running iOS 13. In addition, it is now possible for the iPad to use Split View, so that you can multitask.
A number of bugs have also been fixed and the overview of your investments has also been refreshed and made simpler. Now only the most important data is displayed.
4. Too Many Cooks
You can play this cute cooking game together with your friends. You run a restaurant together and you each have your own workplace. Meanwhile, you exchange ingredients, tools and recipes on each other’s smartphone screen.
It is a stressful game but very entertaining. The better you work together, the faster you prepare the dishes. No friends nearby? The game can of course also be played on your own.
