The week is over and that means a fresh app overview is waiting for you! You should not miss out on these new apps, games and updates. The best iOS apps of week 19 can be found here.
The best iOS apps at a glance
The App Store is working overtime every week to process the endless stream of new apps and updates. However, you hardly notice this, because only a small part is worth installing. If your iPhone or iPad could use some new apps, you’ve come to the right place for the best iOS apps.
1. Final exam app
The national final exams are in full swing again, and then you better get your planning in order. The Final exam app is made to take some work off your hands during the final exam period. With the built-in calendar you can clearly map out when you have an exam.
You can also create a schedule here, so that you don’t just start learning somewhere. The app will also come in handy after the exam, because you can quickly find the viewing documents in it. That way you already know a bit about how you stand.
2. Philips Hue
Philips has expanded its Philips Hue app with Zones. Zones allow you to control different lights in multiple rooms, or just part of a room. It ensures that you can better organize which lamps you want to control at the same time.
If you have Philips Hue lamps in both the kitchen and the living room, it is nice if you can switch them off in the evening with one push of a button. Previously, this was only possible if you set all these lamps as one room. Currently, the feature is only available in beta, but it is open to everyone.
3. Tropico
The extended iPad game Tropico is now also available for the iPhone. In Tropico you are the leader of an underdeveloped Caribbean island. Build a better future for the island by building roads and buildings, but also show your leadership in elections and policy.
You decide whether the island becomes a tourist attraction, a police state or an industrial city. The game is built from scratch for the iPhone, making its controls comprehensive but natural. A kind of SimCity, but with a political twist.
4. Telegram
Telegram adds an extra way to secure your chats in the latest update. From now on you can set a 6-digit code to lock Telegram. It was already possible to use a 4-digit code or password.
Besides keeping your chats safely under lock and key, it has become easier to share stickers with others. This way you can let your friends enjoy your new sticker collection. Furthermore, you can now forward messages more easily, because the forwarding function appears immediately when you select one or more messages.
