The week is over and that means that a fresh app overview is waiting for you! As far as we are concerned, you should not miss these new apps, games and updates. You can find the best iOS apps from week 41 here.
The best iOS apps at a glance
The App Store works overtime every week to handle the never-ending stream of new apps and updates. However, you will hardly notice this, because only a small part is worth installing. If your iPhone or iPad can use some new apps, you’ve come to the right place.
1. Message box
Missing digital mail from the tax authorities, municipality or water board is no longer necessary thanks to the Berichtenbox app. This allows you to check mail from government agencies on your iPhone. Although fewer and fewer physical letters were sent from the government, the digital inbox is not yet catching on for many Dutch people.
That is why the Berichtenbox app was introduced. Previously, you could only view digital government mail via the MyGovernment site. You can easily set up the app by connecting your DigiD once. With a security code you keep your mail under lock and key for others. You will receive a notification every time a message is ready.
2. Tap Empire: Idle Clicker
The original game Tap Empire: Idle Clicker has quite a special gameplay: click until you drop. Do not feel like it anymore? Save for robots that do the clicking for you. In Tap Empire you have to make piggy bank Piggy B as rich and famous as possible.
Keep clicking and tapping all kinds of stores and locations to earn money, unlock new locations, collect items and build your own empire. Goal is to get richer than Piggy B’s boss, Mr. Bossworth.
A game in which you have to click as much as possible sounds excruciatingly boring. For this game, the app developers have therefore linked mindless tapping with new challenges and rewards. And the richer you get, the more it becomes a challenging management game.
3. Snapchat
Snapchat is also going to make its own series and documentaries, but differently. Snap Originals is a new service in the app that offers exclusive videos that, like snaps, revolve around short messages.
The videos are therefore no longer than four to five minutes. New episodes of series come online every day. Snapchat starts with a few titles, but will expand in the future.
These first series revolve around things like friendship, the LGBTQ community and the lives of online influencers. The first episodes can already be viewed, but it may take a while before the update is available for your device.

4. Alphabear 2
In the second Alphabear game, the challenge is again to make as long as possible words with the words that are on the playing field. A strong English vocabulary is therefore not an unnecessary luxury.
When you put down a successful word, all letters disappear and the bears get bigger. Larger bears equals a higher score. A bear fun puzzle game, which is also full of puns.
