The App Store works overtime every week to handle the never-ending stream of new apps and updates. However, you will hardly notice this, because only a small part is worth installing. If your iPhone or iPad can use some new apps, you’ve come to the right place.
1. Jumprope
Learn the intricacies of any trade you want; it is possible with the Jumprope app. In this app, experts teach you to play a musical instrument, edit videos, style clothes or become more flexible. Short videos let you follow their explanations and tips step-by-step. The how-to’s vary enormously and there are all kinds of categories in the app.
Anyone can apply as an expert, so there is no real proficiency check. In fact, Jumprope is a kind of collection of all the tutorial videos that can be found on YouTube. It is currently already possible to filter on a category, but not yet on a specific subject.
2. Red Dead Redemption 2
The brand new game Red Dead Redemption 2 lets you use your iPhone as a weapon in the Wild West. Game developer Rockstar, known from Grand Theft Auto, has also released an accompanying app. In the game you try to survive as a gang member and earn money.
The Companion App helps you while you play, for example by acting as a world map. This way you will get lost less quickly in the gigantic open world. You can also find the story and check all your statistics in the logbook on your iPhone. Because the app is linked to your game console, you can also transfer the screen on your device in its entirety to your TV.
3. Facebook Messenger
Facebook has given Messenger a whole new look and given three nice improvements. In Messenger 4 you navigate through the app with just three buttons. Previously there were no fewer than nine.
The Messages, People and Discover buttons let you do the same before, but a lot simpler and faster. You can now send a message or selfie faster, find friends who are online or play a game.
In addition, a dark mode will soon be available, making the app a lot more pleasant to use in the evenings. Finally, you can now color chat messages or passages to personalize your conversations.
4. Ghostbusters World
Ghostbusters World makes you completely forget about Pokémon Go, because in this AR game you can take to the streets to catch and defeat ghosts. Just like in the movie classic, you have a proton pack on your back with which you can weaken and capture ghosts.
Meanwhile, you have to watch out for attacks from other creatures. Just like in Pokémon, you can train, collect, and fight trapped ghosts in the ghost dimension. The game is very extensive and there are endless ghosts to collect. Fight each other with your collected ghosts and unlock new weapons or upgrades.
