The new week is just around the corner, but before that, let’s take a look back at the last seven days. The editors of iPhoned has rounded up the best iOS apps, games and updates from last week.
Last week’s 5 best iOS apps
The App Store is working overtime every week. New apps, updates for existing programs and games are added all the time. You probably don’t notice this much, because most of it is not worth downloading. iPhoned therefore separate the wheat from the chaff every Sunday. Here are this week’s best iOS apps, updates, and games.
1. Travel Guide
If you’re playing the hugely popular Animal Crossing: New Horizons game, then this app is essential. The app has had a major update this week, so that you now have a fixed checklist for daily tasks on your homepage. In addition, you can now find more information about the different islanders and keep track of all your obtained emotions.

The regular tasks on your island pile up the longer you play it. For example, you have to donate fish, fossils and insects, and have a daily chat with the islanders. In the ACNH Travel Guide you can see exactly which insects and fish you can catch at what time of day and in what season. You also keep track of which animals you have already caught and which do-it-yourself projects you have obtained.
2. Draw a Stickman: Epic 3
In this funny game you go on an adventure with your own drawn stick puppet. During your exploration you will discover all kinds of secrets of the colorful world. Along the way you help friendly characters and solve various puzzles.
With your magic pencil you bring the world to life and at the same time you can lose your artistic egg, and save the drawn world. The new game now has even more beautiful crayons than its two predecessors and there are new monsters to defeat.
3. Through the Darkest of Times
If you’re looking for a more in-depth game, Through the Darkest of Times might be for you. In this strategy game, you are the leader of a resistance group against the Nazis before World War II, in 1930s Berlin.
You distribute pamphlets, collect important information and organize protests. You also have to sabotage the plans of the Nazis from time to time, but it is very important that you remain discreet. The game has four different chapters, in which you have to make quite a lot of important choices. The game was already available for PC, but now a mobile version has been released.
4. Google Drive
The Google Drive app has had a major update and that has everything to do with privacy. From now on you can better protect personal files with a privacy screen. The app therefore often asks for Face ID or Touch ID.

The privacy screen becomes active as soon as you switch from Google Drive to another app. When you switch back to Google Drive, you’ll need to unlock the privacy screen first. This way, unwanted people can’t just poke around in your files.
