The new week is just around the corner, but before that, let’s take a look back at the last seven days. The editors of iPhoned has rounded up the best iOS apps, games and updates from last week.
Last week’s 5 best iOS apps
The App Store is working overtime every week. New apps, updates for existing programs and games are added all the time. You probably don’t notice this much, because most of it is not worth downloading. iPhoned therefore separate the wheat from the chaff every Sunday. Here are this week’s best iOS apps, updates, and games.
1. Alter: Between Two Worlds
On her journey through the desert, the young woman Ana comes across a lost temple. The temple is full of mystery and even seems to have magical powers. You must help her to guide her through the different magical rooms. By puzzling you make your way through the temple.
The beautifully designed game features hand-drawn art, giving it a quirky style. By using the objects and the environment you will always find a new way to get to the other side. And you might encounter a few enemies along the way…
2. Heart Analyzer
The Heart Analyzer iOS app has a completely new version with a new dashboard, a new interface and a dark mode. The Apple Watch version of the app also has better performance. The new dashboard shows you a daily summary of your average heart rate, trends and more.

The app is mainly made for the Apple Watch, and tracks your heart rate throughout the day. The app makes various graphs from that data so that you can keep a close eye on your heart rate, for example during exercise. If you have an Apple Watch Series 4 or 5 you can even follow a live graph of your heart rate.
3. Fishing Guide
Do you like fishing, or are you looking for a new hobby? Whether you are an experienced fisherman or just coming to watch, the FISHING guide is extremely useful for every angler. The app now has a fish scanner. By uploading a photo of your catch in the app, the species is recognized.
The app recognizes up to 74 freshwater fish species in 95% of the cases. Recognizing a fish species with the naked eye often proves difficult, even for a seasoned biologist. Several organizations contributed to the position. The more the FISH scanner is used, the better the recognition becomes, so grab your fishing rod.
4. Gold Wagon
Gold Wagon is a simple game, but no less addictive. It’s about collecting as much gold as possible in your car while avoiding the obstacles. That is easier said than done, because there is no brake. As a result, you have to switch tracks very quickly and there is no time to think long.
In the twenty-four levels you will pass through the most extreme landscapes. You pass through a cave with lava, icy mountains, deserts and swamps. The levels start relatively easy, but don’t let that put you off: the further you get, the faster you have to find the right way.
5. Quibic
Quibi took a remarkable turn last week. The streaming service that is made for smartphones now supports AirPlay. This means that people with an iPhone can stream the short shows made especially for phones to their smart TV. So Quibi goes to the big screen.

Of course, the receiving TV must have AirPlay. People with an Apple TV at home can watch Quibi episodes on a big screen anyway. Incidentally, the new support does not seem to change the Quibi app. Episodes are still made for phones.
