The new week is just around the corner, but before that, let’s take a look back at the last seven days. The editors of iPhoned has rounded up the best iOS apps, games and updates from last week.
Last week’s 5 best iOS apps
The App Store is working overtime every week. New apps, updates for existing programs and games are added all the time. You probably don’t notice this much, because most of it is not worth downloading. iPhoned therefore separate the wheat from the chaff every Sunday. Here are this week’s best iOS apps, updates, and games.
1. Tetris
For a while it seemed over with the ultimate classic among games: Tetris. But the alternative was not long in coming. Game developer N3TWORK has added a new Tetris to the App Store just in time. The game is simple with few options, but has everything you need. There is a scoreboard and you can choose from five different themes.

The nostalgic game works as you are used to. One by one blocks come down in a certain shape and you have to place them in such a way that you completely fill the rows. The game also gets faster and faster as you reach higher levels, which keeps it challenging. Do you want to know more? Then read our review of this classic.
2. Moleskine Journey
Moleskine Journey is actually a lot of apps in one. It is a combination of productive apps and mindfulness to start the new year balanced and organized. There are four tabs that you can personalize yourself: My Day, Planner, Projects and Tasks.
For example, in ‘My Day’ you set the goals for the day, keep track of what you ate that day, and what your mood is. The ‘Planner’ shows you an overview of your tasks and appointments. In ‘Projects’ you categorize notes, tasks, reminders, photos and links all by topic. In the ‘Tasks’ tab, you can add tasks and quickly see an overview of what you should not forget.
3. MindNode
The mind map app MindNode recently got a major update. You can now use visual tags to categorize the different parts of your mind map. This way you can quickly see at a glance what is important or what belongs to a certain group.
It is now also possible to reorganize or subcategorize your ideas in the free version. In addition, there are some practical improvements such as the option to create shortcuts to certain tasks, easier editing of documents and a handy shortcut if you use a keyboard.
4. Shadow
The Shadow app lets you stream any PC game to an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. This competitor to Google Stadia and Apple Arcade does not stream individual games, but a complete Windows PC. As a result, you can literally stream any PC game in existence to your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Ideal if you want to play more than smartphone games on your iPhone.

The app works surprisingly well. Because you stream a complete PC, it is not as fast as, for example, Google Stadia. The computer must first start up and games must first be downloaded. Updates may also need to be installed. However, playing games is without any problems. Do you want to know more? Then read our complete review of Shadow.
5. Cactus: Mindfulness Journal
Do you have a resolution to make yourself less busy? The new Cactus app helps you focus on the positive things and helps you to grow personally.

Through exercises you learn a lot about yourself and you learn to become more optimistic. You will receive a daily reminder to perform the exercises. The app teaches you to reflect on your life and on your personality. You also have the option to record your own thoughts in the form of notes, speech and photos.
