The 5 Best iOS Apps in the App Store from Week 43 – 2019

It’s Sunday again and that means it’s time for an overview of the best apps, games and updates. These are the best iOS apps from week 43 of 2019.

Last week’s 5 best iOS apps

The App Store is working overtime every week. New apps, updates for existing programs and games are added all the time. You probably don’t notice this much, because most of it is not worth downloading. iPhoned therefore separate the wheat from the chaff every Sunday. Here are this week’s best iOS apps, updates, and games.

1. What the Wave?

There are a lot of fun games in Apple Arcade. One of them is What the Wave? This is the most hilarious game we’ve played in a long time. Basically this is a golf puzzle game. Your goal is to hit something into the hole in a good series of puzzles. Now you may expect that this is a golf ball every time, but that is absolutely not the case.

Soon, for example, you hit the golf club, the golfer and even the arrow that indicates where the ball is going. And those are just the first levels. Then follows a series of hilarious puzzles in which you never know what to expect. Some levels are purely made to put a pun at the end, while others are fun because of the complete absurdity. Take your chance and be surprised.

2.RadioNED

Sometimes you don’t feel like playing your own music, or you don’t know what to play. In such situations, the old, trusted radio offers a solution. With RadioNED you have access to more than 475 radio stations from the Netherlands. With this app you can listen to Dutch radio anywhere in the world.

The great thing about this app is that it supports CarPlay. There are several radio apps for CarPlay, but as far as we’re concerned, radioNED is recommended. The app is simple, works smoothly and the range of channels is very complete.

3. Chineasy

With Chineasy you learn the meaning of Chinese characters through pictures. The Chinese character is processed in a picture that shows the meaning. For example, a puppet is made of the character for ‘person’. The sounds are also pronounced and written.

Because you link the signs to a picture and sound, you learn the words very quickly. You get short tests in between so that you stay sharp. Also handy: you can also use this app on your Apple Watch. There are over 1000 words and characters to learn, but only the first eight levels are free. One drawback: the app is in English. So you can’t see the Dutch translations.

4. Hamsterdam

In this funny game you play as the tough hamster Pimm who knows all kinds of martial art fighting techniques. The once peaceful town of Hamsterdam is in danger from the evil chinchilla. It’s up to you to walk through the streets of Hamsterdam and take out the chinchilla and his henchmen.

Hamsterdam is a large game that also includes a large environment. The map is huge, so you can have hours of fun if you want to get 100% at each level. The battles get harder and harder so the further you get, the better you get!

5. Undead Horde

Undead Horde is a fun action game and a role-playing game at the same time. You are a ghost charmer who can bring the dead back to ‘life’. With this gift you can revive almost any enemy and make them fight as undead in your army. This way your army gets bigger and bigger and you get stronger.

With your army of undead you fight against the living and their leader King Paladin Benevictor. In this fantasy world you will encounter all kinds of creatures, from humans to giant scorpions. Meanwhile, you can also rob your enemies and buy new weapons.
