The 5 Best iOS Apps in the App Store from Week 47 – 2019

The new week is just around the corner, but before that, let’s take a look back at the last seven days. The editors of iPhoned has rounded up the best iOS apps, games and updates from last week.

Last week’s 5 best iOS apps

The App Store is working overtime every week. New apps, updates for existing programs and games are added all the time. You probably don’t notice this much, because most of it is not worth downloading. iPhoned therefore separate the wheat from the chaff every Sunday. Here are this week’s best iOS apps, updates, and games.

1. Minecraft Earth

The big new Minecraft game for iPhone and iPad is now available in the Netherlands. Minecraft: Earth combines the world of Minecraft with ours using augmented reality. In the new game you place virtual structures in the real world. The game has been fully translated into Dutch, which makes it a lot more accessible for the younger players among us.

Once you’ve downloaded the game, sign in with your Microsoft account (or create one) and start playing. Minecraft: Earth is all about collecting tools and building blocks to create new creations.

2. United Wardrobe

Do you have a bulging wardrobe that you no longer wear? Or are you just looking for a special item? With United Wardrobe you sell clothes you no longer wear, or buy those Dr. Martens boots you’ve wanted for so long.

United Wardrobe

You order your clothes via the app. When you see something nice, tap the photo to see multiple photos. Here you can also see other items from the same seller in the ‘wardrobe’. Scroll down to see the ‘wardrobe’. If you do not agree with the price, you can easily make an offer by tapping ‘bid now’. If you have other questions about the garment, you can comment below the item. If you want to sell your ‘old’ clothing yourself, add your clothing items in your profile. Here you will also see your own ‘wardrobe’.

3. Spend

The most expensive month of the year is upon us. The new Spendo app helps you to keep an overview of your finances. In the app you can see an overview of your expenses and set a goal. This way you can quickly see whether you are still on the right track towards the goal for the end of the month. By keeping an overview you will have reached your goal in no time. It works very easily.

Every time you pay for something you put the expense in Spendo. You fill in the category for each publication. For example, did you buy a new sweater? Then press the plus sign and fill in ‘Trui’. Here you indicate that it belongs to ‘Clothing’ and how expensive it was. The app adds this expense to your total for the month. In a handy chart with different colors you can see at a glance what you have spent your money on so far.

4. Raiders of the North Sea

This game has been transformed from a party game into an app. Vikings race to conquer the largest fleet as quickly as possible. The bigger your fleet, the more land you can conquer.

You mainly play in the village. Here you will find eight different locations where you can place workers. For example, you get grain from the mill, or the treasury where you can exchange cards for coins. Tactics are paramount in this exciting game!

5. Sky: Children of the Light

Imagine yourself in a dream world with this beautiful, imaginative game. For those in the know: the game is made by Thatgamecompany, the makers of the popular playstation game Journey. In Sky you often literally move between the clouds and experience adventures in this magical environment. Each level shows you a completely new area with lots to do.

There is a cool multiplayer feature in this game. During your journey through the clouds you will see ghosts passing by. These ghosts are actually other players who came before you and may have already solved obstacles for you. There is no written or verbal communication with the other online players, but this feature still creates a sense of togetherness. The game can in principle be completed in 3 to 4 hours, but because of the large levels and the multiplayer you are on the road much longer. So hours of fun!
