Pokémon Duel is a new board game for iOS with a bit more depth than Pokémon Go. You have to actually think to win a fight. The idea is that two players can place Pokémon on a game board. The goal is to get one of these critters across while the opponent tries the same. Which Pokémon do you use? Which route do you take? Who do you let fight whom? Of course you have to take into account the strengths and weaknesses of the creatures in order to use them strategically.
Finding a nice restaurant via Google Maps is useful, but then discovering that there is no more table available. With the popular times update you can see exactly how busy it is somewhere. In the graph you can see hour by hour how busy it usually is in a specific place. Below the graph, behind a stopwatch, you can see how long people stay there on average. That differs from 25 minutes to 1 hour at StarBucks, but can also be an hour and a half to two hours in a restaurant.
The new game from Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen consists of six seemingly simple challenges that get really difficult very quickly. The goal is always to stay alive for a certain period of time. Usually you have to dodge things like bouncing cats, rolling fruit or bombs. Other times you shoot enemies with throwing stars. If you get hit or miss a target, you’re done and start the challenge again. Now the first six games are still easy to do, after that it quickly becomes more difficult.
WhatsApp has made an update available. If you just lose the connection when you try to send a WhatsApp message, the app will place it in a queue from now on. That is three times more than the ten photos and videos where the limit was previously set.
Although the name of this app is a bit awkward in the Netherlands, WaterMinder, the free App of the Week, is really about drinking more water. The app first asks you a few questions about your weight, daily activity level and the climate in which you live. Then a personal water goal is drawn up. You have to achieve this goal every day to live a healthy life. You get reminders for this, for example on your Apple Watch or as a badge app symbol. Every time you have a drink, you can indicate this in the app.
It has been in the air for a while, but from this week you can also get started. Instagram adds Live video to Instagram Stories, making it even easier to share a moment with your followers. During the broadcast you can see comments from viewers on your screen, which you can pin manually.
The new Dutch app Wazzurb is a social network, but only for people who live in the same neighborhood. To use Wazzurb, create a profile via Facebook or with your email address. Then enter your address and you will see on a map which accounts have been created in the area. The various parts of the app are listed at the bottom of the app. The timeline contains the general messages of others. It is also funny that birthdays of people from the neighborhood are mentioned here.
