The App Store Gems of the Week: Alltrails, Obsidian and more on your iPhone

Every week at OneMoreThing we highlight a number of apps that would not look out of place on your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. For your convenience, we will list these App Store Pearls at the end of the week.

From tech to physical health to note-taking, this week we’ve found some great iPhone apps for you that you’ll love.

The App Store Pearls of Week 10 2023

This week we had AllTrails on offer for adventurers. If you have some trouble sleeping or organizing notes, there are Pillow and Obsidian respectively. With iConnectHue you have many more options in controlling your Hue lamps, and with the latest App Store Pearl you can automate certain processes on your iPhone. See more below!

#1 All Trails

This App Store Pearl helps you find that one perfect hike. With the community sharing and rating their routes, you’ll find your perfect option.

Selecting which trail you want to do is easy, and can be adjusted according to difficulty and length. The app is free to use but also has a subscription of 30 euros per month with extra functions.

#2 Pillow

With Pillow is a sleep tracker that you don’t necessarily need an Apple Watch for. You can just use the app on your iPhone. To do this, simply place your phone on the mattress next to your pillow.

Each sleep phase is registered by this App Store Pearl. Based on that, the app can wake you up at the best time.

#3 Obsidian

If you have trouble organizing notes, or are looking for more options in a note-taking program, Obsidian is the right place for you. The app lets you organize files in a clear way and has a lot of room for personalizing your experience thanks to a large number of plug-ins.

Although the App Store Pearl works completely free, you still have to spare a tenner for synchronizing files between your devices. Want to know more about Obsidian? Read more here, and download the app.

#4 iConnectHue

There are plenty of apps on the market to control your Hue lights, but iConnectHue is one of the most comprehensive. You group your products in the craziest ways, add accessories and a number of in-app purchases add extra features. This is in addition to the purchase price of five euros.

#5 IFTTT

Last but certainly not least there is IFTTT. This app lets you automate certain processes on your iPhone. Posting a photo on Instagram to Twitter? Which can. In addition to the countless applets from companies and the App Store Pearl itself, you can also cobble together a number of them yourself. If you plan to do that a lot, you will have to purchase a subscription.
