The last month of the year has arrived and in terms of games we are going out with a bang! Not only will Halo Infinite be released in December, but also Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker, space adventure Chorus and the creepy Five Nights At Freddy’s: Security Breach. So you don’t have to get bored during the holidays, because these are the game releases of December 2021!
Chorus (December 3 | PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC)
Imploding planets, fast-paced space battles and a deep story with a dark edge: that’s pretty much what we can expect from Chorus on December 3rd. The title may sound like a cheerful, musical piece, but maybe developer Deep Silver should have given this game a heavy metal title.
In Chorus, players follow the story of Nara, a creature created by a mysterious organization called The Circle. Once the Circle’s deadliest fighter, Nara has now turned against the organization. While roaming through space and past various interesting space stations, players look for upgrades for their spaceship Forsaken to make the battle with The Circle a little easier.
Of course, Nara is not alone, because during your adventures you will encounter plenty of allies who are eager to get out of the oppression of the organization. So if you are still looking for an in-depth game that takes place in space, then you should keep a close eye on Chorus.
Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker (December 7 | PS5, PS4, PC)
Final Fantasy 14 has grown in popularity over the past year and is now ready for its fourth major expansion. Endwalker takes players past the Hydaelyn area and even to the moon, where a greater threat than ever before awaits. So round up a few buddies and dive into the new content, because there’s plenty to do in Endwalker!
This way players can get ready for the new grind, because the maximum level in Endwalker has been increased from 80 to 90. In addition, developer Square Enix is adding two new Jobs, allowing players in Endwalker to fully immerse themselves in the new Sage (healer) and Reaper (melee DPS) roles. The game world has also been made a bit bigger, because with Garlemald, Tavnair and Ratz-at-Han, among others, there are countless new areas and cities to discover.
As if all that wasn’t enough, starting December 7th you can also try your luck in a new small-scale PvP mode, where you compete against other players to see who earns the biggest rewards and other loot. In short: there is again plenty to look forward to in the latest expansion for Final Fantasy 14!
Halo Infinite (December 8 | Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC)
It took a while, but this month the second big Xbox exclusive of this fall finally arrives! Halo Infinite was announced two years ago and has since been postponed after postponement, but it seems that this has made for one hell of a shooter. The multiplayer of Halo Infinite already appeared last month and that is according to some here in the editors ‘the best shooter of the year’. That bodes well for the campaign!
In Halo Infinite’s campaign, players once again take on the armor of the Master Chief as they take on some of the most ruthless enemies yet. According to developer 343 Industries, Infinite is set to become “the most comprehensive Halo game ever,” so expect breathtaking graphics, an extensive arsenal of weapons and vehicles, and a variety of friends and foes to buy into as you adventure across different planets and other interesting locations. It can’t come soon enough December 8th and until then we’re warming up with the multiplayer!
Five Nights At Freddy’s: Security Breach (December 16 | PS5, PS4, PC)
If more than a month and a half after Halloween you haven’t been scared enough, developer Steel Wool Studios has a nice dessert in store for you. Five Nights At Freddy’s: Security Breach is already the eighth main game in the franchise and while there are many recurring elements in the game, Security Breach throws everything in a different direction.
Security Breach is a non-linear adventure, meaning players get more freedom in how they complete certain tasks. In addition, the well-known pizzeria, where the Five Nights At Freddy’s Games normally take place, has been exchanged for an indoor shopping center. The new setting should provide fresh gameplay, with the same kind of terrifying stuffed animals wandering through the game.
In Security Breach, you play as a kid named Gregory, who is trapped in the mall. Gregory must complete numerous missions before the clock strikes 6 a.m. if he is to have a chance of escaping. Five Nights At Freddy’s always guarantees a lot of spooky fun and we expect Security Breach to be no exception. We’ll see on December 16 whether the renewed setting is just as successful as previous parts.
