More about WhatsApp

Good to know: transcripts of speech messages in WhatsApp are generated on your iPhone. In this way the text of the speech messages remains end-to-end encrypted in WhatsApp. No one outside the conversation can listen or read the content of the audio messages, even if you request a transcript. Due to the end-to-end security, the (audio) message is even encrypted for WhatsApp itself.

So whatsapp has a handy function on the iPhone. With transcripts enabled you decide for yourself whether you listen to speech messages, whether she would rather read. Transcribating is not yet fully working properly, so it can happen that there are gaps in the text of the speech report on WhatsApp. It is expected that WhatsApp will improve soon.
