This is how you block unwanted senders in Mail on iPhone, iPad and Mac!

Anyone who has an iPhone, iPad or Mac can easily block contacts so that they can no longer contact you via iMessage, SMS or telephone. In addition, Apple has also added this blocking function to Mail, so you can immediately block senders.

This ensures that all e-mail messages from the desired person, company or agency are immediately moved to the trash without you receiving a notification. Ideal for spam emails and annoying advertisements.

Block senders in Mail

  1. Open the Mail app on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Navigate to the email from the sender you want to block
  3. At the top, tap the sender in the from field
  4. Select ‘View contact card’
  5. Tap ‘Block this contact’

On a Mac you can do this using a similar procedure. Open the email message on your Mac and click the sender’s name. Then select ‘Block contact’.
