Every iPhone user probably knows how to take a screenshot of his screen. This is often arranged with two pushes of a button. But do you also know that you can take a screenshot of your phone screen?
Fortunately, taking a screen recording is not very complicated, but you do need to know how it works. During a recording you can open and use various apps, watch videos and almost everything else that you can normally do on your phone. Everything you do is then saved as a video, which you can share on social media, upload to YouTube, for example, or send via email.
Record button in Control Panel
Before you can record your screen, you need to turn the feature on and add it to your Control Center. Also keep in mind that the recording process of your screen may vary depending on the iOS version, so check beforehand which OS version you are using.
To turn on the screen recording feature, go to the Settings app and tap Control panel. In the list of controllers you see Screen capture stand. If it is not already in the Control Panel, add the option by pressing the green plus sign next to Screen capture.
Under the cup Added controls you can take the option Screen capture if necessary, slide up to arrange the controls you want to see first in the Control Center.
If you don’t use the screen recording function anymore, you can also remove it from the Control Panel here by pressing the red minus button.
Record screen
Now that the screen recording function is in the Control Center, you can start recording your screen. Open the screen you want to record and swipe up to open Control Center. Do you have a iPhone X or later then you open the Control Panel by swiping down. Then tap the record button. After three seconds, the button will turn red and the screen recording will start. Then everything you do on your phone will be recorded. At the top left of the screen you can see how long you have been recording and if you tap on the recording time, the recording will be ended.
If you also want to record text while recording your screen, you have to switch on your microphone.
You do this by holding down the screen recording button in the Control Panel and then pressing the microphone icon.
Ready?
When you have finished recording, your video will be saved in the Photos app on your smartphone. From this app you can also edit your videos if you are not completely satisfied with the end result.
