A beautiful photo becomes even more beautiful if you put a filter over it. That is why the new WhatsApp filters are just the thing. iPhoned shows how it works.
Using WhatsApp filters
Although WhatsApp regularly gets new features, until now no filters have been available to spice up your snaps. Version 2.17.30 of the iOS app changes this. The existing photo editing options are thus expanded with filters, although they are not immediately noticeable. Only when you know where to look will it be easy to use the filters.
This is how you set a filter on WhatsApp
- Open a conversation and tap the plus sign;
- Choose Photo and Video Library and choose an image;
- Swipe up from the bottom of the photo to open the filter screen;
- Choose one of the filters that appear at the bottom of the screen;
- Tap the photo to close the screen.
The nice thing about this update is that you can’t just paste the filters on photos. You can also give videos and even GIFs a new look in this way. This works in the same way as described above.
The latest update is now available in the App Store. In the new version, an album is also automatically created if you receive multiple photos from a person at the same time. Messages can now be answered more quickly if you swipe a notification to the right.
