Apple is not standing still and regularly releases new products. But what is the next product that Apple will come up with?
This is the next product that Apple will release (soon)
We have recently had a few releases from Apple. The new iPad 2025, iPad Air 2025, MacBook Air 2025 and more. But what is the next product that Apple will bring on the market? According to several sources, this can very well become the airtag 2.
These sources say that the airtag 2 will appear somewhere in May or June of this year. This new airtag will of course also get a few new functions. According to rumors, there are three improvements in the planning. Those are:
- Improved distance;
- New wireless chip;
- Improved privacy.
The original airtag is about four years old. The popular tracker appeared in the early 2021. Apple has now added various improvements to the airtag, but there has never been a hardware update. That now seems to change.
More new products approaching
Another new product that will come this year, according to rumors, is a new version of the HomePod. This next homepad gets a kind of iPad as a screen. The new HomePod is therefore already called ‘Homepad’ on the internet.
The Homepad gets a 7-inch display with a camera on the top, a built-in rechargeable battery and the homeos operating system. The focus will be on video apps such as Facetime, support for many different Apple apps, a dashboard based on the standby mode of the iPhone, operating your smart home and support for Apple Intelligence. This homepad thus becomes the perfect home hub.
It is already possible to use the HomePod Mini, Apple TV or an iPad as a kind of home hub (see also This Apple Support page). You need such a home hub to operate your homekit and Matter accessories if you are not at home. You also use it to share the operation of your accessories with others and to automate your accessories. But if Apple actually comes with a homepad, a ‘real’ home hub would of course be a wonderful asset.
