Selecting and copying text in Safari does not always work flawlessly. In this tip, we’ll discuss a simple workaround for your iOS device.
Select iOS text
Safari is a nice browser, but selecting text is more of a problem than it helps you. For example, it often happens that a whole sentence is selected instead of a number of words. Some websites don’t even allow text selection, which is annoying if you want to share something with a friend or family member, for example.
One user on Reddit has found a solution to the problem. When you open a web page in the Reader view of Safari, it is a lot easier to point out the correct words. You switch on Reader mode by tapping the button on the left in the address bar of Safari (with the four dashes).
It goes like this. Reader mode only shows the base of the page, removing ads, navigation elements, bars and other elements. This leaves only the most important thing, the text. Some images are shown, but they are nicely displayed.
