This way you can use iPhone X Reachability to better operate the device

The screen of the iPhone X is longer and narrower than ever, so the reachability function comes in handy. This way you slide the screen down a bit in one action.

This is how you activate iPhone X reachability

You only have to use the iPhone X for a while to get used to the new controls. Still, it remains difficult to quickly open the Control Panel with one hand. For this you have to swipe down from the top right corner. No problem if you have two hands at your disposal, but with one hand it can be a bit more clumsy.

At times like that, reachability on the iPhone X is just right. This accessibility feature has been present on the iPhone for years, but works slightly differently on the X than you are used to. With Reachability you temporarily slide the screen down a bit, so that the bottom part disappears from the screen and the top is suddenly a lot easier to operate.

All you have to do is activate the function in the settings. You do this as follows.

  • Open the Settings app;
  • Choose ‘General’;
  • Tap on ‘Accessibility’;
  • Set the switch behind ‘Accessibility’ to green.

Now that the feature is on, all you have to do is swipe down on the bottom of the screen. Swipe up again to return the screen to its original position.
