Recently you can also use interactive corners on the iPad. This handy trick ensures that you can work a lot more effectively, especially when you use a mouse. That’s how interactive corners work on iPad.
Using interactive angles on iPad
Mac users have been able to get started with interactive angles for years. The idea is simple. Simply move your mouse towards one of the four screen corners to immediately perform a specific action, such as opening the desktop or enabling the screen saver. Since iPadOS 13.3, this feature is also available for iPad:
- Open the Settings app on your iPad;
- Choose ‘Accessibility’ and then ‘Touch’ under the heading ‘Physical and motor skills’;
- Tap on ‘AssistiveTouch’, swipe all the way down and choose ‘Interactive Corners’;
- Then indicate per corner which action you want to link.
There is a choice of dozens of actions. From opening the control panel, muting the sound, restarting the iPad to activating Siri: it is all possible. Have you given a function to all angles? Then hold your finger (or mouse) briefly in one of the four corners to perform this action.
Do you think it takes too long for your iPad to take a screenshot, for example? Or is it going too fast, causing you to accidentally take pictures? Then you have to adjust the number of seconds that the control is active. To do this, go to the AssistiveTouch menu again, and adjust the number of seconds.

This is how you use interactive angles
Interactive corners are especially useful when using a mouse for iPad. You can link the same actions as those you use on the Mac. For example, set the top right corner to take you directly to the home screen, and the top left corner to open the app drawer. Interactive Corners isn’t Apple’s best-known feature, but once you get the hang of it, your productivity is bound to improve.
