It is possible to go directly to the latest files in the Photos app with one action. You can also go directly from the newest to oldest photos in reverse. We explain how to do this.
Photo Roll Arrangement: Skip to oldest or newest photos
After scrolling through your photo roll for a long time, you have finally found that holiday snapshot from 2007. Unfortunately scrolling down takes quite a long time. Fortunately, there is a way that will bring you back to the bottom of the camera roll at the touch of a button.
You do this by pressing the Photos button in the bottom left of the screen. This will take you directly to the bottom of your photo roll again. This is useful as it saves you a lot of scrolling and time. Your photos are sorted by date by default, from old to new. Over time you build up a nice collection, so it can take a while before you get to the photo you want.
The same principle applies to the other tabs in the app. If you press the button within a theme arranged album – for example a recent holiday – you will be returned to the upper menu in which all albums are shown.

With the Review and Shared tabs, the trick also works, albeit in a slightly different way. These tabs show the newest photos first by default. When you press the button at the bottom, you go to the oldest files in the photo roll.
