Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify and more: almost all music can now be listened to via streaming services. Yet there are musicians who prefer not to present their work in this way, for example because they think the remuneration is too low. Also old songs and cult classics cannot always be found online.

Fortunately, you can listen to this music on your new iPhone. All you need is a Mac or Windows computer with iTunes, and of course your old Android phone:

  1. Connect your Android to the computer and search for the music you want to transfer. On a Mac, install Android File Transfer and your library will be found;
  2. Select the songs you want to move and drag them to a folder on the computer. For example, create a temporary location on the desktop so that you can find it quickly;
  3. Disconnect the Android smartphone and connect the new iPhone;
  4. Open iTunes, go to ‘Library’ and then choose ‘Music’. Open the folder where you saved the songs from step 2 and drag and drop them to iTunes;
  5. Click on the iPhone icon at the top left and select your device;
  6. Finally, choose ‘Synchronize’. You can choose to sync the entire library or just the songs you just added.
