Send WhatsApp photos in original quality
- Open a conversation in WhatsApp
- Tap next to the text field on the plus sign
- Choose ‘Document’
- Select ‘Choose a photo or video’
- Select the desired image or video
The media will then be sent in original quality including accompanying EXIF ​​data. It is not possible to send multiple photos or videos in this way. So you will have to send them one by one.
Send WhatsApp Media in high quality
In addition to the above steps, you can also send photos and videos in a better quality than the standard settings. For example, it is also possible to send media in high quality.
- Open a conversation in WhatsApp
- Tap next to the text field on the plus sign
- Choose ‘Photo and Video Library’
- Select the desired image (s) or video (s)
- In the preview at the top, tap ‘HD’
- Choose ‘HD quality’
- Tap the shipping button
The chosen photos and videos are sent in high quality, this is a doubling in resolution. It is good to know that there is still a compression on the sent media. If you send the photos and videos via ‘documents’, the original file will be sent.
