In principle, you can charge any iPhone or smartphone with the ButterFly that supports wireless charging. But the 2-1 charger is equipped with MagSafe. This not only allows you to magnetically click the iPhone 12 (Pro) or newer onto the charger, it also charges with a maximum power of 15 W.

As soon as you open ButterFly, you have an area to charge an iPhone or other smartphone with Qi(2) support. You can also charge a set of AirPods via this part.

It is possible to also charge the Apple Watch, but that requires the necessary flexibility.
If you wear the Apple Watch at night, you can use the charger as a stand on the bedside table. Since iOS 17, you can use this combination for Standby, because the iPhone is charged in landscape view (horizontal).
Experiences Twelve South ButterFly travel charger
During our holiday we extensively tested the Twelve South ButterFly 2-in-1 MagSafe Charger. Charging both your iPhone and Apple Watch is a piece of cake and the product does what it’s supposed to do. Thanks to the support of wireless fast charging for both iPhone and Apple Watch, the picture is complete.
The travel charger is lightweight and therefore offers little resistance when you remove the iPhone from the charger. This means that you have to hold the ButterFly when removing it. This can also be done with one hand, but it is not as easy.
Something that also struck me is the Apple Watch charger. I personally own an Ultra 2 model and you can charge it just fine, but you have to be careful how you charge it. If you fold the charger up and place the Apple Watch lying down (in night clock mode), you will notice that the ultra hangs slightly to the left.
In addition, the Apple Watch has hardly any support at the bottom. If you press the watch a little too hard when attaching it, you will push it off the charger. So it is a matter of placing it gently on the charger.
When you purchase it, you get a lot of accessories, including four travel plugs so you can use the Butterfly almost anywhere in the world. The included storage bag ensures that the charger is neatly stored and protected during transport.
The travel charger is equipped with a magnetic ring for MagSafe. However, you can also charge other smartphones and devices with Qi support wirelessly. This is also the case for AirPods with wireless charging case. If you also have a Qi2 device, it will also be magnetically clicked into place.
