Use FaceTime reactions automatically
Thanks to machine learning, the software can check the user for hand gestures during a facetime video talk. By carrying out a certain movement you can automatically activate facetime reactions.
This way you can conjure up balloons by making a peace sign and two thumbs down leaves rain. Below you will find an overview of the reactions that you can activate using gestures.
Make FaceTime comments manually
- Start a FaceTime video talk
- In the menu bar, click on the Green Facetime icon
- Choose the used camera, for example FaceTime HD camera
- Switch on ‘comments’ and click on it> Tick
- Then choose a desired response
On an iPhone or iPad you can activate the effects manually by pressing the preview of yourself and choosing a desired effect. Is this not possible? Then turn on the effects. To do this, open the control panel on your iPhone or iPad during a Facetime Video discussion, place your finger on ‘effects’ and turn on ‘reactions’.
You can also automatically activate some reactions, this can be done on a Mac with Apple Silicon and with hand gestures such as thumb up, thumb down, making heart with two hands and more.
Facetime reactions for Apple TV
Apple TV 4K-Since TVOS 17, users can use the Facetime app on Apple TV and call directly from the large screen. Facetime on Apple TV uses support for continuity camera to connect wirelessly to your iPhone or iPad.
You can also activate the Facetime reactions on an Apple TV using the gestures. Through the preview of yourself you can also activate the speech bubble symbol with the help of the remote control to manually play a response.
