Beging 2025 has Apple the new application ‘Invitations‘released. With this app you can easily make invitations for special occasions, such as parties, business meetings or other events.
Users can personalize invitations with their own images or choose from a selection of backgrounds that are available in the app. The app also offers integrations with other Apple services, such as Apple Music, Apple cards and the weather app.
Apple invitations app
As the name suggests, the application is aimed at creating digital invitations for special occasions, parties and more. You can easily add people to the guest list, even if they do not have an Apple account or use an Apple product. With Apple invitations you can:
- Send home -made invitations via different platforms.
- Respond to received invitations.
- Create a shared photo album in which guests can share photos and videos.
- Link an Apple Music playlist to the event.
- Add locations with route descriptions via Apple and view cards and weather information.
The app is available for iOS 18 and iCloud+ subscribers, but people without an Apple account or device can also respond to invitations. You can download the app for free in the App Store or use it via iCloud.com/invites. With this, Apple offers a user -friendly solution for planning events and sharing memories.

Make Apple invitations
- Download and Install the invitations app
- Open the application
- Tap the plus button or ‘Create event’
- Enter the requested information
Personalize the invitation
If you want to make an invitation in Apple Invitationsfirst choose a photo from your photo library or one of the backgrounds that are already in the app. These supplied backgrounds are tailored to a number of common occasions and events.
Then enter a nice, original or standard name for the event and link the desired date and (end). Then link the location to the invitation so that the guests know where to be. Because Apple cards and again are integrated, your guests receive a route description to the location and the weather forecast for that day.
Shared album in iCloud photos
For each invitation there is a separate album, if desired, in which all guests can put their own photos and videos. That way everyone can enjoy it again. While creating the invitation you can indicate whether you want to create a shared photo album. All guests can then add photos to this album via the invitations app.
Apple Music Integration
If you have an Apple Music subscription, you can put together a special playlist that all guests from Apple can listen to invitations. Moreover, you even have the option to add a playlist in which all guests with an Apple account can participate and add their own numbers. Ideal for parties.
Apple Intelligence
With Apple Intelligence you put together a special invitation in an instant. Image Playground is integrated in the app, so that you can have an original image generated on one of your own photos based on a concept, a description or someone on one of your own photos. And for the text you can engage writing aid so that you have exactly the right tone.
Manage and respond to invitations
If you make an invitation yourself, you are also on the buttons: all information about your special occasion is visible and adjustable. For each invitation there is a divisible link, you can see who is coming and you also decide for yourself what can be seen in the preview, for example the address or the chosen background.
The guests can view the invitation in the iPhone app or via the web and respond to it immediately. This does not require an Apple account or subscription to iCloud+. The people who come decide for themselves which data the other guests can see. And all guests can unsubscribe at any time for the invitation or report them.
