Sending one message to different contacts quickly is possible thanks to mailing lists.
Send list in WhatsApp
A send list in WhatsApp is a saved contact list. Send one message at a time to several contacts. The big difference with a group conversation is that the contacts in the mailing list do not see each other’s answers. They also don’t know who is on the list. For example, it is useful to invite everyone to your birthday. The answers are then only visible to you.
Create Mailing List (iOS)
Create a mailing list in WhatsApp like this:
- Open WhatsApp.
- Tap the tab chats.
- Tap at the top left Mailing Lists.
- Tap at the bottom New list.
- Tap the people you want to add.
- Wrong person added? Tap the contact again to unselect the person.
- At the top right, tap make.
- Type a message.
- Tap the send button.
The message is sent to everyone on the mailing list.
Create Mailing List (Android)
Create a mailing list in WhatsApp like this:
- Open WhatsApp.
- Tap the three dots at the top right.
- Tap on New mailing list.
- Tap the contacts you want to add to the mailing list.
- Wrong person added? Tap on the contact (with a cross) at the top to remove the person from the selection.
- Tap the green ball with the check mark when all contacts have been added.
- Type a message.
- Tap the send button (paper airplane icon).
The message will be sent to everyone on the mailing list
Using Mailing List (iOS)
Send a message to everyone at once at a later time like this:
- Tap the tab chats.
- Tap at the top left Mailing Lists.
- Tap the mailing list.
- Type a message.
- Tap the paper airplane icon to send the message.
Using Mailing List (Android)
Send a message to everyone at once at a later time like this:
- Tap the tab chats.
- Tap the name of the mailing list.
- Type a message.
- Tap the paper airplane icon to send the message.
Edit Mailing List (iOS)
Do you want to add or remove someone from the list later?
- Tap the tab chats.
- Tap at the top left Mailing Lists.
- Next to the list you want to customize, tap the “i” icon in the circle.
- Tap on Edit list.
- Tap the person you want to add or remove.
- Tap on Ready.
Edit Mailing List (Android)
Do you want to add or remove someone from the list later?
- Tap the tab chats.
- Tap the mailing list.
- Tap the three dots at the top right.
- Tap on Shipping list info.
- Tap on Edit recipients.
- Tap the name of the contact you want to add.
- Tap on the contact (with a cross) at the top to remove the person from the selection.
- Tap the check mark at the bottom right.
