The Samsung phone has a small program (a widget) that allows you to use the phone as a magnifying glass.
Zoom in with the smartphone
Perhaps not the first function that comes to mind when you think of a mobile phone, but the Samsung smartphone can also be used as a magnifying glass. Handy when reading small labels in the store or to get a better look at a bug in the garden.
Place magnifying glass on Start screen
First place the widget (the program) on the Home screen:
- Press an empty spot on the Start screen with your finger until four options appear at the bottom.
- Remove the finger from the screen and tap Widgets.
- Scroll to the ‘Magnifying Glass’ widget.
- Press Magnifying glass and keep your finger pressed on the screen.
- The Start screen will appear. Drag the icon to an empty spot and release the finger.
Using magnifying glass

- If necessary, tap To allow to allow the program to access the camera.

- Tap the square icon with an arrow or Save (Android 8 or lower) to save. Or tap Back or the left arrow to return to the magnifying glass.
