View a song’s credits on iPhone or iPad

Since iOS 17 and iPadOS 17, you can now view the credits of an Apple Music song. This way, you can see at a glance who worked on the song. On a Mac, this has been possible for some time via the info window.

Credits for music tracks show the artist, composer, songwriter, and those involved in production and engineering, among other things. You can also view the available audio quality per track this way.

Credits for music tracks

In the Music app for iPhone and iPad, you can now view the credits for a song. Note that this is only possible with songs that you have added via Apple Music.

  • Open the Music app
  • Tap the three dots behind a music track
  • Select ‘View credits’

On a Mac, you can view this information by secondary clicking (right mouse button) on a song and choosing ‘Show Info’. In the ‘Details’ tab, you can find the credits.

Then you can view all sorts of information, for example the option shows the artist performing, composition and lyricist and those involved in the production and engineering. You can also view the available audio quality per song in this way.
