One of the most used standard applications from Apple is undoubtedly the Weather application. But in addition to the weather forecasts, you can also find information about the Moon in a handy lunar calendar.
When is the full moon, what is the distance to the celestial body, what time does the moon rise and how brightly is it illuminated. These and more questions about the moon are answered in the lunar calendar in Apple’s Weather app.
Consult the lunar calendar in Weather
- Open the Weather app on your iPhone or iPad
- Go to a desired location
- Scroll down to the moon info card
- Tap the moon info card
- The lunar calendar opens
On a Mac you can open the information card by clicking on the moon card.

Tapping or clicking on the moon information card opens the calendar and additional information. From the information card you can also immediately see what state the moon is in now. In addition, you can also adjust the timeline to view the moon phase for the coming days.
