Week 38’s 4 Best iOS Apps

The new week is just around the corner, but before that, let’s take a look back at the last seven days. The editors of iPhoned have listed the best iOS apps, games and updates from last week.

Last week’s 4 best iOS apps

Apple’s App Store is working overtime every week. New apps, updates to existing applications and games appear all the time. You probably don’t notice this much, because most of the programs are not worth downloading. iPhoned therefore separates the wheat from the chaff every Sunday. Here are the best iOS apps, updates, and games from last week.

1. Focused Work

Difficulty dividing tasks or did you not do everything at the end of the day? Then Focused Work is an app to try. In this app you can create a daily schedule and set yourself productivity goals. In it you can see exactly how many breaks you have taken and how many minutes you have been focused at work.

This also makes the app ideal for students, who now have to make their lectures and assignments from home. With Focused Work you create order out of chaos and (if all goes well) you have more time for other things.

2. Outlook

Outlook enthusiasts take note: with the arrival of iOS 14 this week, this popular mail app has also been updated. You can now set Outlook as the default mail app on iOS. Very handy, because it allows you to immediately open the correct app when you click on a link to compose an email. Siri will also take this into account and from now on open Outlook if you ask a question that has to do with your mail.

Want to know how to set an app as default? This now also works for apps like Carrot Weather and the alternative Reddit app Apollo. Read in this tip how to choose a different default app.

3. Boat Go

Boat Go is a strategy game that looks simple but goes quite deep. In this game you move a boat over a grid, always outsmarting your enemies.

Because the grid is built differently every time, you will have to think differently to reach the end safely. A fun game if you have nothing to do for a few minutes and just want to have something to play.

4. Songbringer

Are you looking for a science fiction RPG with a good dose of swords and a mysterious story? Then look no further than Songbringer this weekend. In the game you take on the role of Rog Epimetheos, a musician who travels the universe in search of new planets.

In Songbringer levels are generated so that they always look slightly different. This way you explore 10 dungeons full of puzzles, assignments and bosses. Along the way, you’ll craft new weapons and learn new ways to master these dungeons.
