Apple releases AirTag firmware update 3.0.49 for second generation

Anyone who owns an AirTag can expect an update in the coming days. Apple released a new firmware update for the AirTag last week.

This mainly concerns performance improvements and firmware optimization. Previously, the ability to receive notifications on your iPad when you forget the AirTag was added and adjustments were made regarding the anti-stalking function.

KPN changes conditions and makes Extra Safe Mobile (€1 per month) mandatory: this is how you switch for free

KPN will change the general terms and conditions on June 1, 2026 and activate an extra service, which means that mobile customers will automatically and compulsorily have to pay € 1 extra per month for the new security service Extra Safe Mobile. It is not possible to disable this service to save €1. However, customers can switch to another provider free of charge.

And you may have more reasons to switch because in addition to this extra layer of security, KPN is also tightening the rules surrounding price increases: for the first time, the new conditions include a clear maximum for additional rate increases. on top the annual inflation correction, namely a maximum of five percent of your monthly amount or three euros per month per calendar year.

Apple has not yet made an official announcement for macOS 27, but previous confirmations have already given us information about the devices that will support the new software. At the launch of macOS Tahoe, Apple indicated that this would be the last major update for Intel-based Macs. This means that this year there are many ‘old’ Macs that are no longer supported.

This means that some Mac models that currently run macOS Tahoe cannot be updated to macOS 27. On average, Apple devices receive major updates for 5 to 6 years. In recent years, more and more older versions have also been provided with security updates.
